We're continuing with our hot spell, which seems to drag on week after week here this summer. You can see it in the eyes and faces of people in the street - no-one has really had a good nights' sleep in a while... it's never easy sleeping, when it's still in the high 20's at midnight...
We normally seem to have at least one or two really hot days/nights here each summer - and that's OK. This ongoing spell is... quite draining. It's not just here - it's all across eastern Australia!
I am so thankful for the little air conditioner installed here. 😀 At 4pm, it's 36c (96.8f)... and in other parts of the state (further out west), it's in the 40's! 😨
I keep giggling at the memory... it only seems a few weeks ago, everyone was complaining about how cold it was, and we'd probably have a hot summer! 😎
I just accidentally heard my neighbours having a very loud 'domestic' (nothing violent)... seems the heat is getting to them, too! I almost laughed out loud, as this was literally what she was doing to him!
It's all over now... their sitting on their back porch, smoking a cigarette! heh heh.
The are good neighbours, honestly!
